Hi, I’m Leah, the founder of Bright Learners. I’m from sunny Queensland, Australia and a mum of two children, Ella and Oscar.
Growing up, I loved learning through creativity, and particularly enjoyed music. Even now, when I’m not running after kids, I still find the time to enjoy photography and a bit of the arts.
For many years, I built a career as an optical dispenser. Then after having my first child, Ella, I had a desire to funnel my creative energy into something that I’d find challenging and rewarding (on top of being a mother).
As I watched my daughter learn and grow, I knew that the creative, engaging learning style I enjoyed as a child was something that I not only wanted to pass down to her, but to also share with others.
I wanted to champion a return to practical, hands-on learning activities that would truly bring adults and children together in a fun and educational way, without being too dependent on technology.
So, I started Bright Learners, and the Learning Language flashcard system.
It’s my dream that the Learning Language flashcards become a fundamental learning tool for parents, early educators and perhaps those who work with refugees in order to bring adults and children together and foster a greater understanding of different cultures.
All this, while having fun at the same time!
